Danzantes Unidos de California is pleased to announce the return of the Danzantes Unidos Festival to San Jose, California. DUF 2008 “Lindo Nayarit” will take place on March 14, 15 & 16 at various venues throughout the city.

DUF 2008 is a three-day celebration of Mexican Folk Dance with dance workshops, seminars & evening concerts. Curriculum will include movement sessions in Danza Azteca, Chiapas, Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz, as well as, seminars in Music & Costuming and a Masters Class in Nayarit.

The Showcase Concert Series will present the work of performing companies from throughout the state of California. The Gala Concert will highlight our Bay Area groups and special guests. Rounding out the weekend activities are the DUF 2008 Mercado - folklorico marketplace - and the Pachanga y Fandango - evening social dance events.
In the tradition set forth by previous festivals in Los Angeles, San Jose, Fresno, San Diego, Salinas, Hayward, Sacramento, Gardena and Whittier, Danzantes Unidos Festival in San Jose will once again celebrate the spirit and pride of our living Mexican culture.

DUF 2008 Registration
DUF 2008 "Lindo Nayarit" will take place on March 14, 15 & 16 at various venues throughout the city. All venues are located in downtown San Jose and within a ten mile radius of each other.
Please be sure to take into account when registering that all classes will not be located at the same site.
PLEASE SEE THE COMPLETE LIST OF WORKSHOPS BY SITE.
All registration information will be processed online. Registration fees will remain the same as last year and will include: movement sessions in one region, admission to the Concert Series, festival bag, souvenir program, and nametag. Online registration is payable by atm or credit card.
Festival size will be limited to the first 500 registrants and onsite registration will be limited to remaining space available.
School groups paying via Purchase Order, contact registration@danzantes.org for processing. Registrants under the age of 18 must submit a signed parental consent to participate. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent. Questions? Contact registration@danzantes.org
